CHARACTER MASKS

 Criticism of consumerism

The character mask as a concept of Marxist sociology is the term for the alienated human being in capitalism, who is a personification of the economic conditions.

I have represented this concept artistically by creating individual face masks made of cold porcelain, borrowed from Venetian culture, and decorating them with the over-consumption of the industrialized world. The individual, what is hidden underneath, is completely covered by consumption, it wears a mask of garbage, which it can no longer see through. People in cultural capitalism are blind.
