Praktisch beinhaltet das Konzept die Schaffung eines SPACE als Möglichkeitsraum für die Interaktion mit zeitgenössischer Kunst und den zwischenmenschlichen Austausch.
The art project "TALKING SOCKS – Aesthetic Experience through Participation in Art" is grounded in Theodor W. Adorno’s Aesthetic Theory. In practice, the concept involves the creation of a SPACE as a realm of possibility—a site for interaction with contemporary art and interpersonal exchange.

Die einzelne Socke wirkt neben ihrem Dasein als Kunstobjekt auch als Kommunikationsgegenstand, denn in ihrer assoziativen Symbolik bietet sie einen bedeutsamen Interpretationsspielraum und damit viele Aspekte, die diskutiert werden können, wie zum Beispiel das Phänomen des "Sockenverschwindens", die Vereinsamung der Gesellschaft und die veränderte Partner:innensuche durch die Digitalisierung.
Beyond its presence as an art object, the individual sock also functions as a medium of communication. Through its associative symbolism, it opens up a wide field of interpretation—inviting discourse on a variety of themes such as the phenomenon of the “disappearing sock,” societal loneliness, and the changing nature of how people seek partners in the digital age.

Dieser SPACE ist ein 10-Fuß-Container sein, der auf einem öffentlichen in Wismar deponiert wird und die Funktion einer Ausstellungs- und Kommunikationsplattform übernimmt.
Das Kunstobjekt ist eine Installation aus vereinzelten Socken, die vorab in der Wismarer Gemeinschaft gesammelt wurden und während der Ausstellungszeit gespendet werden. So sind Besucher:innen aufgefordert, sich aktiv an der Gestaltung zu beteiligen und die Socken in das Gesamtkunstwerk zu integrieren.
This SPACE will take the form of a 10-foot shipping container, placed in a public area in Wismar, serving as both an exhibition space and a platform for communication.
The artwork itself will be an installation composed of individual socks—some collected in advance from the Wismar community, others donated throughout the exhibition period. In this way, visitors are invited to actively participate in the creation of the piece by integrating their socks into the evolving Gesamtkunstwerk.
